23 August, 2002 11:41 - During the last 48 hours, water levels at stations from Chiang Saen to Pakse receeded, except, from Nakhom Phanom to Mukdahan slightly rose, from Stung Treng down to the Delta continued to increase. The water level at Nong Khai, Pakse, Chau Doc, Tan Chau is higher than flood stage; at Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Paksane, Thakhek, Stung Treng, Kratie, Kompong Cham, NeakLuong, Koh Khel is higher than the alarm stage. In coming days, the water levels from Chiang Saen to Stung Treng will receede, at Kratie and Kompong Cham will rise in next 1 - 2 days, then will receede; from Phnom Penh to the Delta continue to rise, then slowly fluctuate; at Tan Chau, Chau Doc are higher than flood stages.
