Operational and Funding Updates

In November, WFP reached 226,546 beneficiaries through its School
Meals Programme in Delta Amacuro, Falcón, Sucre, and Zulia, delivering
both on-site meals and take-home rations. Additionally, 10,328 people
living in food-insecure communities in Zulia State and 2,415
vulnerable individuals including elderly persons and pregnant and
breastfeeding women received food assistance. Finally, WFP also
supported 15,840 people affected by extreme weather events in
Apure and Guárico states.

Supporting people affected by heavy rains

In November, WFP continued supporting families affected by extreme
weather events, providing food assistance to 15,840 people in Apure
(Achaguas Municipality) and Guárico (Leonardo Infante, Juan José
Rondón, and San Gerónimo de Guayabal municipalities). Additionally, as
part of efforts to strengthen the Risk Management System’s capacity, Civil
Protection teams in Anzoátegui, Táchira, Mérida, and Guárico received
essential supplies (including rubber boots, ponchos, and flashlights) to
enhance their ability to respond effectively to heavy rains.
