- 280,000 children, caregivers and school staff members benefited from school‑based food assistance in March, alongside critical improvements to food preparation and storage infrastructure in 22 schools across Falcón and Sucre.
- 17,000 people living in 15 highly food‑insecure communities received community‑based food assistance to help meet their immediate nutritional needs.
- More than 16,700 people whose lives were disrupted by the 2025 floods across three municipalities in Apure received emergency food assistance.
SITUATION OVERVIEW
- Access to food is the top priority for Venezuelan families across the country. More than 5 million
people require urgent food assistance. - WFP maintains operations in six states— Amazonas, Apure, Delta Amacuro, Falcón, Sucre, and Zulia— supporting people through schools and community based interventions.
- WFP’s priority is to ensure people continue to receive inmediate, reliable and diversified
support, while helping strengthen national social protection systems for longer‑term impact.
