ALLOCATION STRATEGY BENEFICIARIES

The Venezuela Humanitarian Fund (VHF) focuses on a multisectoral humanitarian response to enhance access to essential health, nutrition, and protection services. The projects are implemented across eleven prioritized municipalities, targeting the most vulnerable populations in areas with the highest severity of needs and limited accessibility. The primary objectives include:

  1. Strengthening essential health services: Improve healthcare and access to clean water in healthcare facilities to reduce the vulnerability of hard-to-reach communities, particularly women and children, to health risks.
  2. Supporting malnutrition recovery: Implement multisectoral recovery programs by integrating food assistance, access to safe water, and protection services.
  3. Expanding protection services: Address issues such as gender-based violence (GBV), family separation, human trafficking, child labor, forced labor, out-of-school children, and other exploitative practices, including forced begging.

This strategy adopts a comprehensive, gender-sensitive approach that bridges critical gaps and ensures support for women, children, the elderly, caregivers, people with disabilities, and the LGBTIQ+ community.
