ALLOCATION STRATEGY

The Venezuela Humanitarian Fund (VHF) has launched a reserve allocation to address the protection situation that has been exacerbated in 2024. The political polarization, breakdown of social fabric, and worsening access to services have had a strong impact in terms of security, dignity, and the effective enjoyment of basic rights for the population. The three priorities of the allocation are the following: (1) the provision of life-saving protection services - including child protection and gender-based violence - as well as mitigating the risks of people on the move and potential host populations, (2) increasing the the community protective environment through community-based protecion activities with a multisectoral approach, and (3) strenghtening protection routes through articulated work with institutions to ensure effective access to basic rights.
