In an operational context that remains rife with uncertainty in the tense aftermath of the 28 July presidential elections, UNHCR has continued to provide assistance to the people its serves in Venezuela. Overcoming recurrent obstacles to humanitarian access, UNHCR has been focusing its efforts on the communities that have been most affected by the post-electoral crisis. Supporting initiatives to mend a social fabric that has been torn by violence, fear and mistrust among their members, UNHCR and partners aim to strengthen community resilience and help tackle the cycle of displacement in Venezuela.
