Almost one in four Venezuelans, 7 million people, are in need of humanitarian assistance, according to the 2024-2025 Humanitarian Response Plan. As leader of the Protection and the Shelter, Energy and NFIs Clusters, UNHCR is targeting in 2024 2.7 million vulnerable Venezuelans affected by the country’s crisis. UNHCR is also leading the response to mixed movements between Venezuela and its neighbours, returns and displacement within the country, as well as to the protection needs of refugees, asylum-seekers and persons at risk of statelessness.
