Highlights
• WFP’s Representative and Country Director for the Pacific Multi-Country Office, Alpha Bah, held a series of high-level meetings with key partners on strengthening strategic partnerships, reaffirming donor support, and highlighting WFP’s operational priorities and needs in the Pacific.
• In partnership with the South Pacific Community (SPC) as part of the Pacific Humanitarian Warehousing Programme, WFP launched a regional warehouse needs assessment to identify gaps in infrastructure, systems, and capacities across participating countries. In Kiribati, WFP supported the development of SOPs and key information management tools to establish an effective warehouse management system.
• In May, WFP launched real-time data collection under the Joint Programme on Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE) using its mobile Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping (mVAM) tool across Fiji, Kiribati, and Tonga.
