Vanuatu: Watery Diarrhoea in Efate- Situation Update 02 - Report Date: 08 November 2024 I Covering Period from 01 January - 03 November 2024

Overview

• From 28" October to 03" November 2024, a total of 236 watery diarrhea cases has been reported in Vanuatu.
• The number of cases reported still exceed the alert threshold maintaining a watery diarrhea outbreak in Efate.
• Most cases have been reported from NTM clinic, Saupia Health centre and Vila Central Hospital (VCH), with individuals coming from North Efate, Freshwota, Teouma and Erakor.
• Case definition: Three or more lose or watery stools in 24 hours.

• Awareness programs within schools and communities on preventative measures.
• Community outreach
