Overview

  • From 14th to 27th of October 2024, a total of 400 watery diarrhea cases have been reported in Vanuatu.
  • The number of cases reported has exceed the alert threshold for the last two EpiWeeks, a watery diarrhoea outbreak is declared for Efate Island.
  • Most cases have been reported from NTM clinic and Vila Central Hospital (VCH), with individuals coming from Freshwota, Teouma and Erakor.
  • Case definition: Three or more lose or watery stools in 24 hours
