Tropical cyclone KEVIN impact Vanuatu form the north west to the south east since 3 to 4 March - as category 4.

About 251,346 persons impacted by cyclone winds of category 2 to 4 (more than 80% of the population). About 150,000 persons (30,000 household) impacted by cyclone winds of category 3 to 4 than trigger a national response.
The island is closed and communication is cut off. There are several humanitarian partners on the ground but with difficulty moving and transmitting information abroad.
DG ECHO's Rapid Response Coordinator has been deployed to Fidji/Vanuatu to assess the situation and determine whether DG ECHO's intervention is necessary.
