Situation Overview

  • On Friday 13 March, a Category 5 Cyclone named ‘Pam’, caused widespread, severe damage and loss of life throughout Vanuatu, particularly affecting the Central and Southern regions, as these areas experienced direct impact. The most impacted provinces include Shefa, Tafea, Malampa and Penama.

  • The Vanuatu National Emergency Operating Centre (NEOC) / NDMO is managing the coordination of information gathering, initial response and planning for assessments.
