Highlights
- In February 2025, the Pacific Waves Training Alliance was launched as a dedicated platform to foster learning and knowledge sharing across the Pacific region.
- This milestone was further strengthened by the rollout of the Pacific Waves eLearning Platform, enabling regional responders to access training and capacity building resources online.
- Pacific ETC initiated a series of Emergency Telecommunications Trainings for 46 national emergency responders in Tonga and Samoa as part of broader efforts to strengthen national preparedness in the region.
- On 05 February 2025, Pacific ETC concluded its emergency support to the Government of Vanuatu, following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that struck in December 2024. The operation provided critical telecommunications assistance to ensure effective coordination during the emergency response phase.
