BISHKEK, July 27 (Reuters) - Some 400 Uzbek refugees who fled to neighbouring Kyrgyzstan in May when troops quelled an uprising in Uzbekistan's eastern city of Andizhan would be flown to Romania later on Wednesday, a Kyrgyz airport official said.
"Today we received three out of five planes with the refugees from (the southern Kyrgyz town of) Osh," Nadyrbek Mamyrov, deputy head of Kyrgyzstan's international Manas airport, told Reuters. "Around 400 Uzbek refugees will be flown to Romania by a U.N.-chartered Boeing 747 plane tonight."
