This research report, developed by the International Organization for Migration in Uzbekistan, presents an assessment of knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to HIV among Uzbek migrant workers. Conducted between 2023 and 2024 across five key regions of Uzbekistan, the study examines both internal and external migrant populations before and after targeted HIV education sessions. The findings highlight gaps in awareness, ongoing challenges related to understanding and behavior, as well as positive changes in attitudes and health-seeking practices following the interventions. The report underscores the importance of providing accessible HIV prevention programmes that take into account the specific needs of migrant communities. Supported by the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and the IOM Development Fund, the report offers practical insights to assist relevant stakeholders in enhancing services for citizens, particularly mobile populations and Uzbek migrants.
