Mississippi residents warned of floods after storms

BILOXI, Miss, April 28 (Reuters) - Mississippi residents should prepare for major flooding along the Mississippi River, Governor Haley Barbour said on Thursday.
The river is swollen from rains spawned by fierce weather in the region like the tornadoes and thunderstorms that caused widespread damage in several southern U.S. states in recent days.
