  • In January, WFP reached 231,933 people with food and nutrition assistance, distributing 2,363 mt of food. Due to funding shortfalls, general food distribution rations remained at 65 percent. Supplementary feeding at full rations reached 42,197 nutritionally vulnerable individuals, while hot meals were provided to new arrivals, repatriation cases, and protection‑related beneficiaries.
  • In January, WFP, together with government nutrition and health officers, conducted supportive supervision of food‑fortification millers in Kigoma. Through WFP’s fortification training and support from the Ministry of Health, eight councils received 20 dosifiers, and three councils have already installed the equipment. As a result, the number of active fortifying millers increased to 22, enhancing local fortification capacity and improving micronutrient intake among vulnerable households.
