On 4th of March (evening), just 10 minutes after representatives of OSCE, JCCC and management staff of VD departed from the Donetsk Filter station (DFS), after successfully launching it, the area around DFS was again subjected to shelling.
One projectile hit the area near warehouse with reagents, and in the evening all the staff were in a bomb shelter on site. As it grew dark staff could not evacuate. If the situation had not changed for the better in the morning, the management of Voda Donbasa would have been forced to evacuate people and stop DFS again.
Donetsk Filter station officially provides water to more than 345,000 people (December 2016 figures from Voda Donbasa).
