HORLIVKA FILTER STATION №2 WAS SHELLED

Horlivka Filter Station No.2 was shelled during the night of 12th/13th December 2017 according to Voda Donbasa. Staff identified a new shell crater within the territory of the filter station, near to the communications building, this morning (Wednesday 13th December). This did not affect the operation of the station, however it does represent a risk to the operation of Horlivska Filter station №2, which supply water to Horlivka, Mykhailivka and Panteilemonivka in NonGovernment Controlled Areas (NGCA) and Toretsk and Zalizne in Government Controlled Areas (GCA). In total to 184,000 people on both sides of the Line of Contact receive water from this station (December 2016 figures, provided by VD).
The WASH Cluster is in touch with ‘Voda Donbasa’ and will report any specific needs and updates to WASH Cluster partners
