Ukraine Cash Working Group 06 December 2023 [Meeting Minutes]

1. General Updates

➢ Cash Working Group (CWG) Chairs gave an update on the Humanitarian Coordination Team’s (HCT) endorsement of the results of consultation at the CWG level on the continuation of the CWG programmatic co-chairs (IOM and URCS) will happen on Thursday, 7 th of December 2023.

➢ The CWG team updated on the process of the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund (UHF)
Second Standard Allocation for 2023, clarifying that each partner is allowed to submit one project and that each project can have multi-sectoral priorities along with MultiPurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). Clusters in the Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) agreed on the importance of MPCA complementarity with sectoral cash while considering not duplicating with the Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB). 2. Operational Updates

➢ Sub-National CWG co-chairs updated on 2 Emergencies in Selydove and Chuhuiv.
Neither Emergency was activated beyond information sharing. No need for MPCA was communicated via the local authorities.

➢ In Zaporizhia, it was reported that people are having trouble receiving transfers via bank accounts.
