Russian Emergencies Ministry 49th convoy delivers relief goods to people in Donetsk and Luhansk regions

Another stage of humanitarian operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions has been successfully finished. The 49th Russian Emergencies Ministry convoy delivered to Donetsk and Luhansk regions over 1,000 tonnes of relief goods.

On their way back, all the trucks went through customs control at Donetsk and Matveyev Kurgan checkpoints.

Thanks to professionalism of the whole team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in charge of transportation of humanitarian aid, another batch of food and medicines was quickly delivered to the population of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A lot depends on drivers-rescuers who each time are extremely watchful and attentive during the whole way. Mechanics who tend to the trucks in time and with great care and who are ready to fix any breakdown on the move are also very important.

The cargo was put together following requests from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Thanks to coherent actions the mission was accomplished quickly and efficiently.

In all, the Russian Emergencies Ministry convoys have delivered over 59 thousand tonnes of humanitarian aid to Luhansk and Donetsk regions since the middle of August 2014.
