This capacity needs assessment for non-GBV actors was conducted by GBV AoR in Ukraine [1] to:

1) Assess the current needs of different non-GBV actors in strengthening understanding of the basic concepts of GBV programming in Ukraine for their integration in GBV response, prevention and risk mitigation;

2) Estimate the scale of training initiatives needed to be planned by GBV AoR for a 1-year period (2024-2025); and

3) Update the annual action plan of the Capacity Enhancement WG.

The assessment methodology was developed by the GBV AoR team in close cooperation with GBV Capacity Enhancement Working Group. Special thanks go to Ekaterine Kristesashvili (GBV AoR), Ganna Gerasymenko (CARE), DariaOleksandra Rulko (GBV AoR), Bidita Jawher Tithi (GBV AoR), Ihor Vintsiv and Ivan Soltynchuk (IMMAP), Jennifer Van Wyck (Global Communities), Samantha Ponte (HIAS) and Alina Kasilova (NGO Girls) for their inputs to support the design of questionnaire, data colecting and analysis, as wel as report finalization and insightful discussions of the findings.

The assessment was conducted online during September-October 2024. A structured questionnaire was developed in Ukrainian and English to ensure an inclusive and participatory approach to data colecting. To reach non-GBV actors with different profiles, the questionnaire was circulated through different humanitarian clusters/AoRs, and cross-cutting working groups.

As a result, 80 individual responses were colected representing 56 organizations (non-GBV actors) working in different thematic areas.
