Localization Strategy - CP AoR Ukraine [EN/UK]

Description:

The localization agenda is a global commitment under the Grand Bargain to increase the leadership, participation, and funding access of local and national actors in humanitarian response. In Ukraine, where conflict has severely disrupted services, localization offers a pathway to build resilience and ensure continuity of critical child protection (CP) services. Local and national actors1 (LNAs) have been at the forefront of responding to the protection needs of children and their families, especially in hard-to-reach areas, despite operational challenges and resource constraints.
To strengthen this approach, the Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR) in Ukraine has conducted an exercise to assess its progress on advancing localization within the coordination structure and to identify actions and opportunities to enhance the participation and leadership of local and national actors (LNAs) within the CP AoR in Ukraine. This was documented through the "CP AoR Localisation Dashboard Ukraine" which now provides a baseline for tracking progress in advancing the localization agenda within the CP AoR in Ukraine. The dashboard highlights six key areas: capacity, governance and decision-making, influence, participation, partnerships and funding.
