Inflation
In May, the overall growth in consumer prices slightly accelerated to 3.3 percent year-on-year (YoY) from 3.2 percent in April. The primary contributor to this growth was an increase in fuel prices, while higher utility prices reflected raised electricity tariffs since June 2023. Prices for healthcare goods and services, as well as alcohol and tobacco, continued to rise. However, food prices maintained a negative contribution to the overall inflation rate (-0.2 percentage points).
