Context

The conflict in Sudan has caused a steady increase in the number of refugees arriving in Uganda. The pace of new arrivals increased sharply in 2024 and now there are more than 65,000 Sudanese refugees registered across the country. The government, UNHCR and partners provide protection and assistance to these individuals who are part of the 1.8M refugees who call Uganda home.
