About the Investment Profiles

In preparation for the Uganda Solidarity Summit 2017, the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uganda to prepare investment profiles.

The profiles are intended to mobilise additional investments and commitments to support the country’s efforts towards a more diversified and resilient economy that integrates refugees.

The investment profiles showcase the opportunities available in eleven (11) refugee hosting districts with the aim of attracting potential investors in a diversity of sectors including but not limited to agriculture, tourism, mineral development, health and education.

The ultimate goal is to improve the local economy for the shared benefit of the host communities and refugees.

The eleven districts include: Adjumani District, Arua District, Hoima District, Isingiro District, Kamwenge District, Kiryandongo District, Koboko District, Kyegegwa District, Lamwo District, Moyo District and Yumbe District.
