• During April and May, there were reports of famine/food insecurity in Amolatar, fires (Adjumani & Kampala), floods (Bulambuli, Kasese, Kyotera & Mbale), heavy storms/hailstorms (Bundibugyo, Kalangala, Kasese, Kassanda, Kayunga & Mbale) and landslides (Kasese & Ntoroko).
• During this period, hazards impacted 13,421 individuals (2,776 households), with 1,611 people from 374 households being displaced internally.
• Adults (18-64) were the most affected, comprising 46%, followed by children below the age of 18 at 41%, and seniors over 65 at 13%. Additionally, females constituted more than half of those affected, at 57%.
• As a result of the hazards, urgent needs arose, with health, hygiene promotion and water supply, among others identified as critical priorities post disaster.
• There was significant infrastructure damage occurred, including 674 houses partially damaged and 267 completely damaged. Twenty water facilities and nine schools were affected by the disasters.
