Uganda Landslide relief: MTN gives sh100m to Redcross, Tullow Oil gives sh100m to Prime Minister's office

MTN Uganda has given Uganda Red Cross sh100m towards relief efforts for Landslide victims in Bududa District.

Tullow Oil has also given the Prim Minister's office sh100m for the same relief efforts.

The Uganda Red Cross is looking for two billion shillings to help over 10,000 survivors of landslides that destroyed villages in Bududa Monday night.

The money will be used in provide social services, community mobilization for disease prevention and first aid services to the survivors.

Red cross secretary general Michael Nataka says they are distributing 240, 000 water purification sachets to the communities to avert possible outbreak of water related diseases.
