Korea promises Uganda 100,000 to help the flood affected victims

The Vice Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Korea H.E Park Hae Sang has on behalf of his Government, promised Uganda a donation of 100,000 US $ to help the flood victims of Northern and Eastern Uganda.

The Korean Vice Minister, who was meeting the State Minister for Foreign Affairs in Charge of Regional Cooperation, Hon. Isaac Musumba expressed sympathy for the areas that have been affected by the floods. He pledged Korea's help in the flood recovery programme. H.E Park Hae Sang led an 8-man delegation, which arrived in Uganda on 30th September 2007. The delegation met the Minister at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters.

Hon. Musumba appreciated Korea's donation to Uganda, that will provide relief help to the flood victims of Northern and Eastern Uganda. He hailed the good relations Uganda enjoys with Korea and hoped that these relations will grow stronger.
