An earthquake of 5.5 M at a depth of 10 km occurred in the Adana Province, south-eastern Türkiye, on 25 July at 07:44 UTC (08.44 local time). The epicentre was located in the Kozan City, approximately 65 km nort-eastern of Adana City.
Several aftershocks with magnitude between 3 M and 3.2 M have been recorded in the area in the following 15 minutes.
USGS PAGER estimates that up to 1,000 people were exposed to strong shaking and 128,000 to moderate shaking.
According to the Health Disaster and Coordination Centre (SAKOM), five people have been injured and some buildings were damaged.
The seismic event was felt also in the Kahramanmaras and Gaziantep Provinces, Southeastern Anatolia Region, which were the epicenter of the severe earthquakes occured on 6 Frebruary that caused more than 57,000 fatalities across Türkiye an Syria.
