Protection Sector Coordinator shared the following updates:
• Provincial Protection Sector meetings are set to continue in Adiyaman,
Kahramanmaras, Hatay, and Malatya. The meetings will be held face-to-face on a biweekly basis.
Provincial Protection Sector Meeting Updates
In Malatya, updates on Elemendik TAC were shared as below:
• Education plans are yet not clear.
• Turkish population in the TAC is now transferred to Samanköy container site.
Affected persons who are not willing to move Samanköy returned to their houses.
• TAC is getting more crowded each week. Legal cases are referred to Legal Clinic in Malatya.
• A coordinated communication with the public institutions is deemed to yield better relations with local administrative bodies.
In Adıyaman, updates on Bebek former TAC were shared as below:
• Whether Bebek container site is going to transform into a TAC is yet unclear.
• Foldable containers in the area are observed by the partners not to be up to standards due to lack of personal space and common WASH facilities.
• Protection activities will be coordinated by PDoFSS. The organizations will provide in written forms on their planned activities in the area and request permits accordingly.
