President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that as of today, they will start to pay 15 thousand liras as relocation aid to earthquake victims who will move their houses.
The President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli and the Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP) Mustafa Destici inspected the ongoing relief efforts in Afşin district of Kahramanmaraş which was affected by the earthquakes that occurred on February 6.
Visiting the earthquake victims in the container city, Erdoğan wished Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, patience for their relatives, and speedy recovery to the injured citizens.
Erdoğan said that despite various difficulties due to weather conditions and the width of the earthquake area, they have stood by the citizens since the first day. Stating that they are trying to get the district back on its feet as soon as possible with public institutions, municipalities and non-governmental organizations, Erdoğan said that they see the wounds in Afşin have started to be healed rapidly after the earthquake as is the case throughout Kahramanmaraş. Noting that until today, the tents needed in the district and its villages have been distributed, the President stressed that the infrastructure works for the installation of a total of 842 containers are ongoing and there are no problems with food supply, drinking water, electricity and other needs.
Erdoğan said that they are taking steps to alleviate the financial burdens of the citizens who lost their relatives, houses and belongings in the earthquake. He repeated that they will provide with 3 thousand to 5 thousand liras rental support to earthquake victims and they started to pay 15 thousand liras as relocation aid to the earthquake victims who will move their houses.
We will compensate for all of our material losses
Stating that they will give 100 thousand liras to the relatives of the citizens who died in the earthquake for their urgent needs, our President Mr. Erdoğan stated that they paid 10 thousand lira each to the citizens affected by the disaster.
Emphasizing that they are making great efforts to provide the earthquake victims with permanent housing as soon as possible, the President said that they are striving to provide earthquake victims with permanent housing as soon as possible.
Noting that 9 thousand 295 independent sections out of 4 thousand 516 buildings were found to be destroyed, severely damaged and determined to be immediately demolished in Afşin. Erdoğan said that more than 119 thousand independent sections in 45 thousand 575 buildings were found to be destroyed, severely damaged and determined to be immediately demolished in Kahramanmaraş. Expressing that the number of houses and village houses that they will lay the foundations of in March and April in the entire earthquake zone has reached 309 thousand, Erdoğan announced that they will build 83 thousand houses and 18 thousand 681 village houses among them in Kahramanmaraş. Erdoğan stated that these figures will be finalized once the damage assessment studies are completed. President Erdoğan said that they cannot bring back the lives lost, but will compensate for all material losses in districts. He asked citizens to trust the state and the government. He went on to say, “No matter how great our pain, our faith and will are just as strong.”

President Erdoğan said that they will succeed to erase the trace of the destruction in 11 provinces just as they succeeded to erase the destruction’s traces caused by earthquakes and floods in Van, Bingöl, Elazığ, Malatya, İzmir and Kütahya Simav.
Stating that as a state, they will never leave any citizen helpless, hungry or homeless, Erdoğan said that they will overcome these difficult days by standing shoulder to shoulder as a nation.
Wishing Allah’s mercy upon the citizens who lost their lives, Erdoğan stated that they are in Afşin as the People's Alliance, and will go to Malatya Doğanşehir to meet with the citizens.
