Floods, flash floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall continue to affect northern Turkey, particularly the western Black Sea Region.

According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), 70 people have died (60 in Kastamonu City, 9 in Sinop City, 1 in Bartin City) and more than 360 people are affected, with 7 people receiving hospital treatment.

More than 2,300 citizens have been evacuated across Bartin, Kastamonu, and Sinop Cities.

Damage has been reported to a number of buildings and road infrastructure. 39 villages in Sinop and two villages in Kastamonu continue to be affected by power outages.
