Heavy rainfall and strong winds have been affecting eastern Tunisia since 18 January, causing floods and river and wadi overflow that resulted in casualties and damage.
Media reports, as of 20 January, four fatalities in the Moknine city of the Monastir governorate, in north-eastern Tunisia. Traffic disruption has been reported in the cities of Nabeul and Kélibia in the Nabeul governorate, and approximately 105 roads are affected in the Monastir governorate.
On 21-22 January, more rain is expected over the whole country, with thunderstorms in northern Tunisia.
