HIGHLIGHTS:
• A total of 20 confirmed dengue fever cases reported to date, including 3 new cases.
• The most affected age group 10-14years, majority among male.
• Ha’apai Island continues to report the highest number of cases.
• Two cases are currently hospitalized. One case transferred from ‘Eua – admitted at Vaiola Hospital,
and one is admitted at Princess Fusipala Hospital, Ha’apai.
• No Dengue- related death reported to date.
• Laboratory testing is ongoing to confirm virus type.
