Operational Updates

• The October 2024 Cadre Harmonisé analysis indicates that 621,723 people face severe acute food insecurity (IPC 3+). Projections suggest that 624,560 people may experience acute food insecurity in the 2025 lean season (June – August) if no assistance is provided.

• The northernmost Savanes region is the worst affected by crisis levels of acute food insecurity. The people in IPC phase 3+ are 175,063 between October and December 2024 (14.3 percent of the total population) and are expected to increase to 225,129 during the lean season (18.3 percent).

• The spillover of the Sahel conflict has caused an influx of refugees into Northern Togo and has internally displaced thousands of people. Overall, 39,436 refugees and asylum seekers and 10,171 IDPs have been identified and/or registered by the Government and UNHCR as of October 2024.
