UDORN THANI, 16 November 2017 (NNT) – Udorn Thani Provincial Agricultural Office has signed an agreement with the 9101 Following in the Father's Footsteps campaign to help recover the agricultural occupations of flood victims.
Acting Udorn Thani provincial agriculture official Tanawat Tanatanyapit said the office has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the 9101 Following in the Father's Footsteps campaign to help with the recovery of the occupations of the flood victims in 143 communities of the northeastern province.
The campaign is aimed towards those affected by Talas and Sonca storms during July-August 2017 so that they could have sufficient food supply after the floodwater has subsided, cut down their costs of living and restore their farming careers with the help of learning centers.
A total of 261 projects have so far been approved in Udorn Thani's 143 communities, 41 of which being short-lived farming projects, 114 livestock raising projects, 10 food manufacturing and agricultural processing projects, and 96 fishing projects.
All the projects will cost a combined 89.52 million baht and benefit a total of 17,905 farmers' households.
