Thailand: Si Sa Ket helps floods victims

Si Sa Ket distributed survival bags and dried foods to help over 1,600 floods' victims today after Mekhla stock wreaked havoc to the area.

Si Sa Ket province deputy governor, Mr. Chalermchai Feungkorn, today (October 1) presided over a ceremony to presenting survival bags and dried foods to floods' victims at Non Koon district in Si Sa Ket province. Mr. Chawengsak Jaikam, Non Koon district chief, led a group of people from 1,000 local households to receive survival these stuffs.

Mr. Chawengsak said that Non Koon district comprised 80 villages. 1,694 households in 47 villages were floods' victims after the areas were affected Mekhla storm since September 29. He has reported and urgently sought assistance from the Si Sa Khet provincial officials.
