Thailand - Severe weather (AHA Centre, Thai Meteorological Department, NOAA-CPC) (ECHO Daily Flash of 22 April 2025)

Over the past week, severe local storms with strong winds have affected the Northern, Northeastern, and Central regions of Thailand, resulting in injuries and damage.

As of 21 April, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) reports three injured people and 8,200 people affected. Additionally, 1,700 houses were damaged.

Moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms and strong winds is expected across the country on 22 April, with only isolated rain on 23 April. On 24 April, isolated rain is forecast in the north while moderate to heavy rain is expected in the south of Thailand.
