Thailand: Government to apply geo-informatics to help flood-affected people with farm planning

The government is studying on geo-informatics to help flood-affected people and to set the agricultural plan in the future.

Mr. Jadula Apichattabutra, Deputy Permanent Secretary of PM's Office and President of subcommittee integrating map system and geo-informatics to solve flood disaster, said that he has collected all details from geo-informatics, satellite photograph, land information, building details, into account. He revealed that the details collected will help forecast weather condition and can save a lot of time for farmers.

As for the progress on assisting flood-affected people in 47 provinces, Mr. Jadula said that the assistance is nearly completed.
