Thailand: Floods in Nakhon Ratchasima cost 100 million baht

Center of Disaster Prevention And Mitigation at Nakhon Ratchasima area 5 director-general Mr. Wallop Thepphakdee says there are four provinces in lower northeastern region affected by floods, including Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Sara buri and Buriram. He also mentions that the floods already impact more than 1 million residents and cost 100 million baht of damage.

Mr. Wallop reveals that the affected areas are considered emergency disaster areas. In response, officials at the Center of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has provided assistance and necessary life-supporting materials for all victims, particularly in Nakhon Ratchasima where 13 of its districts have suffered significantly by the floods.
