Mr Anucha Mokkhvesa, Director-General of Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, disclosed currently, five provinces were still being affected by floods, while situations in the other 26 provinces have improved, with a total of over 500 million baht worth of damages.
Mr. Anucha revealed today (October 6) that currently, 31 provinces, 246 districts, 1,566 sub-districts, and 12,092 villages were flooded.
Meanwhile, 26 bodies were found dead, one person missing. In addition, 454,304 households, 1,597,371 people were affected. 2,704 houses were partly damaged, eight houses destroyed, 98 bridges, 3,404 roads, and 547,121 rais of land were flooded, with total roughly damage value at 557,072,609 baht.
Flooding situations have improved in 26 provinces, including Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Tak, Phayao, Lampang, Nakhon Nayok, Loei, Sukhothai, Chachoengsao, Trat, Chon Buri, Phichit, Saraburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, Mukdahan, Nong Buaramphun, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Maha Sarakham, Mae Hong Son, Sra Kaew and Chanthaburi.
Only 5 provinces were still being affected by the floods, including Phitsanulok, Lop Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Aythaya, Khon Kaen and Prachin Buri.
