Thailand – Floods (ASEAN, TMD, Media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 24 July 2017)

  • Heavy rain has been affecting several areas of the country over the past week, especially the northeastern provinces, causing floods and flashfloods.

  • According to official reports, as of 24 July at 7.00 UTC, at least 1 300 people have been displaced and 160 210 people have been affected in 16 provinces. According to media, as of the same date, over 10 460 households were affected in the provinces of Ayutthaya, Yasothon, Nan and Trat.

  • Over the next 24 hours, locally heavy to very heavy rain is forecast to occur over the north and northeast area of the country, including the ones already affected.
