Summer storms hit Ayutthaya

AYUTTHAYA, 26 April 2014, (NNT) - A Summer storm yesterday hit several areas of Ayutthaya, widely affecting residents in the province.

The storm hit Ayutthaya late in the afternoon, causing thunderstorm and strong winds in Muang district and its vicinity. The storm lasted more than half an hour, wrecking trees and cars in the province’s government complex. The storm also blew away rooftops of buildings and vendor stalls in the area complex, while knocking the power out along its path.

Meanwhile, strong winds and thunderstorms have reportedly hammered the districts of Uthai, Bang Pa Han, Nakhon Luang, and Bang Pa-in. Disaster relief officers have already been dispatched to provide assistance to the storm victims.
