SISAKET, 2 May 2014 (NNT) - A summer storm has ravaged parts of Prang Ku District in Sisaket Province, causing distress to several locals.

Trees were snapped apart by gusty winds and many local homes received major damage on the evening of May 1st in Prang Ku District. Schools around the area were also not safe from the storm, as many roof tiles and school equipment have been severely destroyed.

A school director reported that as teachers were holding their classes at 5:00pm yesterday, the winds came in, forcing them to escape by a hair’s inch. Upon leaving their classes, they later returned to inspect the damages.

This is the third time where a summer storm has struck the Prang Ku District in a one month period.

Elsewhere in Phimai and Toom districts in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, about 100 homes have been battered by another summer storm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported so far. Local authorities are now doing whatever they can to provide assistance.
