In Nong Khai province, the provincial governor, the head of the provincial chapter of the Red Cross Society and concerned officers visited storm victims in Sangkhom district, after a tropical storm laid waste to the area. The group handed out financial aid and promised to send more help.

Local military officers have been helping the victims rebuild their homes while working with other units to provide other forms of assistance. The storm has destroyed 46 houses, brought down a broadcast tower, and uprooted 230 rubber trees.

In Sisaket province, the commander of the local peacekeeping force has instructed officials to clean and repair the Ban Pho Langka school in Kanthararom district. The school was hit by a heavy storm on the eve of May 11th and sustained general damage.

A period of recovery without storms is expected up until May 18th.
