Pattani accelerates repairs to flood-damaged houses in 12 districts

PATTANI, 6 February 2017 (NNT) - Provincial officers in Pattani have accelerated restoration works for houses damaged by floods in 12 districts of the southern province.

Pattani Governor Weeranan Phengchan led a team to visit Pooyut subdistrict in Muang Pattani district to inspect the restoration and repairs to flood-damaged houses in the area.

Pattani province, the Royal Thai Army and the 4th Army Area have jointly provided post-flood assistance to the flood affected victims after inundation in the local areas had subsided.

The governor of Pattani said that 26 flood-damaged houses are being repaired with the help from military officers, while relief and support has been extended to farmers who are cultivating crops and livestock in the area.

He added that he has instructed all 12 districts to initiate a thorough damage survey, so that assistance operations can proceed according to each district's needs.
