The Southern Eastcoast Meteorology Department has recently issued a warning announcement notifying the public of possible stronger Northeast monsoons in Gulf of Thailand and Southern parts of Thailand as well as heavy rains in the Nakorn Si Thammarat province.
Due to the new high pressure air wave which is moving from Vietnam through Thailand, Gulf of Thailand and the Southeastern parts of Thailand, the Southern Eastcoast Meteorology Department has announced that Thailand will experience a strong Northeast monsoon starting on December 23.
Furthermore, Nakorn Si Thammarat will experience heavy rains. The waves in the Gulf of Thailand will be approximately 2-4 meters in length, hence fishermen are urged to be extra cautious when navigating and small boats should temporarily cease their operation during December 23-26.
