Chiang Rai gives help to quake victims

CHIANG RAI, 24 May 2014 (NNT) – Chiang Rai Province has promptly paid financial aid to victims of the earthquake of 6.3 magnitude that struck Chiang Rai on 5th May 2014 and its aftershocks.

The Chiang Rai Governor presided over a donation ceremony to help 118 victims in Phong Phrae Sub-district, 223 victims in Bua Sali Sub-district, 108 victims in Dong Mada Sub-district, 229 victims in Pa Ko Dam, and 411 victims in Chom Mok Kaew Sub-district, all of whom suffered badly in the severe earthquake in Mae Lao District, Chiang Rai Province.

Owners of damaged houses are receiving 33,000 baht each, totally 6,527,430 baht.
