Bomb blasts in southern provinces brought under control

SOUTHERN, 25 May 2014 (NNT) – The authorities claim to have mastered the bomb blast situation in southern provinces and will increase security measures under martial law.

The spokesman for the Internal Security Operation Command (ISOC) Region 4 said that as a result of the bomb blasts in many parts of Pattani and Narathiwat on the weekend, provincial authorities and police officers have now contained the situation and will urgently help people who were affected by the violence.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Electricity Authorities have already fixed the electricity supply, returning it to normal as soon as possible.

He also asked people not to be alarmed and not to fall into believing rumors that come from unsubstantiated sources, reassuring people they should live as usual.

Muslim people who have to perform prayers at 5 A.M. can do so normally under military protection. As a result of the latest bomb blasts, there are 62 people wounded and 3 deaths already recorded in Pattani.
